Learn Not to Say Much...

Hello Friends!

Who else feels that as we mature… there are certain things that we no longer care to entertain. I once believed that I had to explain myself often to clear the air, or even just constantly felt the need to respond, comment or take actions in every situation that came my way.

However, as I matured, I’ve come to realize quickly that many things don’t require my comment or actions. I’ve understood that the way we react to situations in our lives matters…as often it is not so much about the action, but rather the reaction.

Listen, understand that everything does not needs to be talked about, what we need to do is master the art of observation, for in doing so, we begin to gain wisdom and understanding. Our emotions at time can take the best out of us, when we allow it to control us. Maturing means, learning to control our emotions by taking the time to evaluate the situation before responding to things immediately!

One of the things I would often tell my clients is…Don’t be a thermometer- instead…be a thermostat!

You see… A thermometer adjusts to the temperature in its surroundings, it fluctuates. Therefore, causing the temperature to adjust accordingly to the situation.

However, a thermostat in the other hand, sets the temperature. ” You are in Control ” This allows the temperature to maintain constant, regardless of the situation in your surroundings.

You certainly do not want to get to the end of your life, looking back with regrets at the decisions you’ve made based on the impulsive actions you’ve taken. It is said that a wise man once said NOTHING

Wisdom helps us make decisions now that we will be content with later. So, I encourage you to master the art of observation and learn NOT to say too much!

Peace & Love
